I conceived
Performat as a tool for re-presenting today historical performances as collaborative,
site specific pieces. As a live concert it
tours different venues.
So far I worked
on Semiotics of the kitchen by Martha
Rosler, the Manifesto for Maintenace Art
by Mierle Ukeles Laderman and La Roquette
by Nil Yalter, Nicol Croiset and Judy Blum.
The script is made of words and
ideas inspired by these pieces: 70’s feminism mixed up
and spiced with Vogue,
the Big Brother and plastic surgery.
For Performa 09 in New York, I wrote Performat,
a song for Lucie Fontaine with music by Jennifer Walshe.
An LP in limited edition documents the show, together with an edition of posters created with
Valerio Carrubba and Riccardo Beretta.
