Arimo! The Spoon River of Milan, is the first residency for poets held at the Casa degli Artisti in Milan during fall ’24. I was invited to take part in it.
The poem Visite [Visits] is the piece of poetry I composed while there.
It gives voice to an elderly woman, my aunt, who disappeared during the first Covid 19 spree, before we even knew it was Covid. Ciao zia!
The microphone for the reading I made with a cow bone. It made a lot of sense.
